Welcome to an unforgettable journey through the North of Spain, where every moment is filled with culture, tradition, nature, and of course, delicious wines!
You will begin your journey in Barcelona, a city full of life and contrasts. From its oldest neighborhood, the Gothic Quarter, to its most modernist side, Barcelona will surely captivate you. After a first day to rest and adapt, the adventure of getting to know the city will begin with our private walking tours.
On the first day, you will walk through the Gothic Quarter, where its hidden squares, cobblestone streets, and majestic cathedral will tell you about its origins.
The next day will bring you to the more modernist Barcelona, the one of Gaudi. Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, and above all, the Sagrada Familia will immerse you in the wonderful mind of this Catalan architect who could not see his masterpiece completed.
Your fourth day in Barcelona will be free, but if you prefer, you can refer to day 4 in the itinerary where we suggest some optional day trips if you also wish to explore places outside of Barcelona.
On the fifth day, you will fly to the Basque Country, where many other traditions and landscapes await you. You will have a first day there exploring the fascinating and green Basque coast with our driver-guide. Discovering the deepest roots of Basque society and ending in San Sebastian, where the next day you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city center, along with an introduction to the world of pintxos, those small plates of food that encapsulate the culinary essence of San Sebastian.
But there's more! After San Sebastian, still with our driver-guide, you will head to the wine region of Rioja. There, besides visiting and tasting wines at a famous winery, you will be able to visit a small and charming village surrounded by vineyards. Finally, you will end up in the wine capital of Spain, the city of Logroño, where you will spend one night and have time to enjoy its atmosphere and discover some of its charming architecture and beauty.
The next morning, we will take you back to Bilbao. However, it won't be a wasted journey as you will stop in another city in the Basque Country, Vitoria. Less known to the international public, but certainly worth a visit. You will have the afternoon free in Bilbao to stroll along its river or visit one of its museums, and the following morning, our city guide will explain its history and traditions while also taking you to some of its markets and bars.
As you say goodbye to Barcelona, the Basque Country, and La Rioja, carry with you memories of lively cities, stunning scenery, and delicious food, knowing that you've had an amazing time exploring the highlights of these regions. Until next time, see you later, Barcelona, Basque Country, and La Rioja!
Please inquire with us about your dates as this trip may have a surcharge for new years and other big festivals in both Barcelona or Pais Vasco.
