Your Itinerary

1

STARTING POINT

You will meet your guide at the top of the Spanish Steps, near the large obelisk in Piazza della Trinità dei Monti, just in front of the Trinità dei Monti church. This scenic location offers a spectacular panoramic view over the rooftops of Rome, making it one of the most breathtaking spots in the city to begin your tour. The famous Spanish Steps (Italian: Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti) connect Piazza di Spagna below with the church of Trinità dei Monti above. The monumental stairway, composed of 135 steps, was built between 1723 and 1725, designed by Francesco de Sanctis and Alessandro Specchi. Funded by a French diplomat, it symbolically linked the Bourbon kings of France with the Spanish Embassy and the Holy See. Your guide will be waiting for you near the obelisk, holding a sign with your name. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour departure time to ensure a smooth start.

2

Piazza di Spagna – The Heart of Style and Stories

At the base of the Spanish Steps lies the elegant Piazza di Spagna, home to the famous Fontana della Barcaccia, a quirky “sunken boat” fountain that kids love. Surrounded by fashion boutiques and lively Roman charm, it’s the perfect place to start exploring Rome’s buzzing street life.

3

Trevi Fountain – Make a Wish!

Next stop: the world-famous Fontana di Trevi. Children will be thrilled to toss a coin into the fountain and learn about the legend of returning to Rome. Your guide will explain the incredible history and secrets behind this Baroque masterpiece in a way that's engaging for little ones and fascinating for adults alike.

4

Pantheon (Exterior Visit) – A Temple of Curiosity

Arriving at the majestic Pantheon, one of the best-preserved ancient Roman buildings, the whole family will be amazed by its size and story. Although the visit is from the outside, your guide will captivate everyone with tales of gods, emperors, and the enormous dome that has inspired architects for centuries.

5

Gelato Break – Time to Recharge!

It wouldn’t be a family tour without a well-deserved gelato stop! Your guide will take you to one of Rome’s top artisan gelaterias, where both kids and adults can choose their favorite flavors. It’s the perfect moment to sit, relax, and soak in the Roman atmosphere.

6

Piazza di Pietra – A Hidden Gem

Refreshed and recharged, the tour continues to the lesser-known but stunning Piazza di Pietra, where the ancient columns of the Temple of Hadrian rise dramatically from the heart of the city. This spot blends history and modernity, and the visual impact makes it an unexpected favorite among children.

7

Piazza Navona – The Grand Finale

Your final stop is the lively and theatrical Piazza Navona, one of Rome’s most beloved squares. Kids will be amazed by the fountains, street artists, and open space where they can move freely. You’ll hear the legends behind Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers and enjoy the energy of a square that has been a stage for Romans for centuries.
